Summer on my Mind

I stumbled across this huts documentary video that does a good job at illustrating my nearly ineffable summer job.  The narrator is my good friend Iona, and the pictures are of my mountain home.  It's become my "happy place" over the past two years, a high paradise that lives in my heart and sustains me through winter.

I'll be back in the Whites this coming summer, and always love visitors!

Thanks for letting me share.

Thank you, Eliza. Thank you for the visit w/out the hike. Now you are ready for some real mountains! Please come visit when you are ready for Long's Peak!
No huts though. But in the winter, cross country skiing from hut to hut (like I've ever done that!). Looking forward to your visit!

Count me in, Donny! I am getting a little sick of the hills I call high mountains.

this film really captures the feeling of being in the Whites. I've been with you in some those same settings. Can't wait to hear which assignment you will get for next summer.
Where ever it is, we will lace up our hiking boots and get ourselves there. Anyone want to join us? Thanks for the inspiration!
