more signs

There is no shortage of hand painted signs here in northern New Mexico! The problem is safely pulling over to photograph them! As dry as it is, the Rio Grande river valley is fertile and my interest in these signs force me to slow down and look at what is growing, what is being sold, who is doing the selling. A great chance to enter the landscape rather than speed right by.

Hey, Barb...I love the new sign focus. Here's a suggestion for you...get a quote from the person behind the sign. "What do you grow...what sells best, good season for....?" Then you will really connect to the land as you mention. Sounds like you are having fun.
Susie's sister and I were talking and the subject of free writes came up...she went out and bought about five of copies of "Old Friend..." (I love that title). We had some friends over for dinner last weekend...he mentioned an old person they know who repeats herself etc...I mentioned "free writes"...he went out a bought the book. You (and N) are changing lives...imagine!). Thank you.

Donny's right, I bet Roberto is a real interesting guy, along with whoever made that dog grooming sign (love it!!). Don't just pull over, go inside! Initiate some of that much-needed human connection that you so beautifully write about.

I just love that you are away from home and keeping you dear readers close to your heart.

I love the signs! I'd love to see the person who is doing the work that the sign is advertising...the groomer, the cook, the farmer, etc.
And hear a conversation.......

It's fun to see through your eyes!
