I met an Asian guy in a cafe in Paris on my way back from Asia one time. I was crushed by the differences between East/West...all the usual for young minds. He leaned back and merely commented, "It's simple, Asians blend nature to work in concert and the West controls nature and overcomes natural forces. It can't continue forever." This was in 1965. Now...the opposite seems to be taking place...Ying/Yang...all of life is a cycle.
