Today is Niki's birthday. 1994-2007 Loyal companion, intrepid adventurer, even on three legs. We miss you, Niki. Thanks for being our guardian for 13 years.
Thanks for adding the video, Eliza. After Niki lost her leg, the vet warned us she would have no trouble walking but would not be able to swim. She proved him wrong! She was so graceful in the water. Carrie! Glad you got to see the puppy at VP! We were just on a walk one day and Eliza filmed her on her camera. We knew this was something we did not want to forget. Glad you liked it! Couldn't find any pics on Iphoto of you with pup. Many exist, I'm just not sure how to scan them into my computer.
Both Jessie and I have neat memories of Niki racing across the frozen pond across from your house chasing a hockey puck into the bushes. Crash! No problem. Yes, the trouble w/ pets. They never live long enough. Neat to see how you guys celebrate!

What an incredible dog. The video made me both cry and laugh. The ending is perfect. She had such a happy life.
