Lady's Slipper, Wild Orchid, Moccasin Flower.
All names for this wild flower that grows in our woods.
(Did you ever wonder how the street we live on got its name?)
The above painting was done by my mother. These protected wild flowers grew in her woods, too.

There was one in Northport up the hill behind the house we lived in. It was by a stream that I used to sit by to spend peaceful moments looking at this wonder of the woods.
The painting is, of course, beautiful. The perfection of the slanting light just so across it the measured work of another gifted artist in your family.
Thank you, John!
I was going to say what John said!
You have the eye for design, Barb. Nice! And I love seeing another one of Mom's paintings on display.
